FRMS Student's Poetry Selected For Publication in A National Writing Competition

FRMS is very proud to announce that a group of our 7th and 8th grade students have had their poetry selected, through a national writing contest, for publication. Creative Communications has been hosting a national writing competition for over 20 years. This year FRMS had 12 students selected for publication in their poetry anthology after entering their competition! Not only will their poems be published in a hardbound anthology of poetry, all twelve students, and their poems, move on to the final level of the contest, where they have the chance to be selected as one of the top 10 poems submitted at their grade level nationwide. We want to congratulate all of the students and thank their teachers, Mrs. Hohnstein and Mrs. Lloyd, for giving them this opportunity to share their creativity and their talents with the nation and the world. This is a huge accomplishment for these students and we are excited to celebrate their moment in the spotlight !
Our Seventh Grade Soon To Be Published Poets are: Arianna Donnelly, Kimberley Pancake, Lyla Kunasek, Azarah Santiago, Brantley Davis, Claire Martins, Neh Banton, Klover Vantha, and Arabelle Kendrick. They are joined by 8th grade poets Hazel Harris, Eliana Medina, and Alaina Johnson.
